The construction of the site was cancelled due to injuries and suicides. This was thought to b caused because of it being in ancient burial ground above dutch soldier, but another theory was because it disrespected the Chinese dragon statue that was placed close to the site. Because of the injuries and suicides, investments were pulled, leaving the site incomplete.
I picked this building because it had an interesting name that made me want to learn more about it. I thought that The UFO House would look interesting and have an even more interesting story behind it.
Habitat 67, Canada
Moshe Safdie
October 1967
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Habitat 67 is a housing area allowing people to live in it.
It cost 22 million dollars
The Habitat 67 project started as the thesis project by Safdie and was later made into a building.
I picked this building also because of its name, but got hooked on the look of the building. After seeing the building style and that it actually has residents, I got interested in the building, making me want to learn more about this building through this short project.

Santiago Calatrava
February 14, 2001
Malmö, Sweden
Turning torso is open for people to enter, but is mainly a residential area
It costs 1.8 billion dkk (260,237,250 dollars)
This building started off as a sculpture made by an architect and put in a brochure. Johny Orback saw this sculpture in the brochure and immediately sent out to make this building get made. This building was then put in this area of Sweden to make the skyline visually appealing.
I picked this building because I thought that the name of it was interesting, for I have never heard of any building with a limb in its name. I then saw the picture and thought that the building looked very interesting and would be fun to learn more about.

People can be around and under this form of architecture but climbing is prohibited
The new renovation costs €26 million (28,086,500 dollars)
The building was made for the 1958 World Expo of Brussels and was recently renovated due to it deteriorating.
I picked this building because the name sounded like it would be a bad sci-fi movie which interested me. I then saw the design and thought it looked really cool and assumed it would be more interesting than the other options.
Cubic Houses, Netherlands
Piet Blom and Simon Ungers
1970s
Rotterdam, Netherlands
People are allowed to enter this area
I could not find how much they cost to make but to enter it costs 3 euro (3.24 dollars) per person and 21 euro (22.69 dollars) a day to live in.
The creation of these buildings were to make a unique architecture community after a city was bombed in 1940. The cubic houses were built to fulfill those expectations.
I picked this building because it is an interesting design that is unique and unexpected. I loved the look of this building and had to use this one instead of any of the others.
This is part of winning sports because football players often dump their water or kool-aid on their coach, for it is a winning tradition.
The shutter speed is fast because it froze time which makes a good action photo.
This is a key moment because the team probably just won the game and are celebrating. This could have been planned, but it was likely not because the coach is paying attention to the field.
A good viewpoint, rule of thirds, some balance, no mergers, etc.
