Student of the month has been awarded to Sara Venegas, freshmen, who will have this title all of March 2020 at Bowie High School.
This student is in the bowie band and has helped out the community and has been awarded student of the month for 5 months in a row.
"I feel like I'm the queen of the school because I get all the attention and everybody helps me, and I deserve it when no one else does," student of the month Sara Venegas said.
As the Principle of Bowie, Mark Robinson has awarded the Student of the Month to Venegas because of her GPA is a 4.99 and her charitable acts around the school, including fixing all security cameras, stopping all usage of illegal drugs, and with a program that helps failing students raise there grade.
"I love how she just goes around and makes my job a million times easier," Mark Robinson said, "She is the best student I have ever had the honor of being a principle of. I couldn't ask for a better student."
President Obama has also motivated Venegas to try her best in school so that someday, she can make a difference. He has checked in with her once a week since she gave him the idea to become president and has set up a college fund for her as well.
"I see so much in her and how she has unlimited potential that she could easily use to maybe someday save this planet," said President Obama, "She doesn't just deserve to be Student of the Month, she deserves to be Student of the Century."
Stanford has already accepted Venegas to join as a professor teaching in philosophy and she will be immediately put on as a board member.
"She is one of the smartest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet," Stanford board member and Co-Founder Felix J. Baker said, "I know she will bring up some genius ideas to help improve this school. Sara Venegas is the type of person where if you tell her to do something, not only will she do it, she will do it better than you could have ever imagined. She has already written a number of essays that change the way we look at, well, every subject we teach. Every essay is a new brilliant idea, for a new subject. If she's not the next Einstein, I don't know who is."
Venegas is also in Bowie's 1st band sitting at the 1st chair for bass clarinet. She has already performed a numerous amount of solos and has been asked to be part of the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra and play more solos once joined.
"Honestly, I'm not surprised that they wanted me to join their orchestra," Venegas said, "I am the best clarinet player to have ever played on any band. I think I do deserve all of this because I am good. I think overall, I'm just super honored that I would get  all of these accomplishments so soon in my life."
