Three Pillars of Photography

F2.8:

F16:
  1. The pupil is most related to aperture because they both control the amount of light let in.
  2. The smaller the aperture f stop, the higher the aperture light.
  3. Aperture affects depth of field because it has a shallower depth of field depending on the lower the f stop, f/2.8 has a shallower depth of field than f/16.
Fast Shutter Speed:

Slower Shutter Speed:

1.
a. I would want a medium shutter speed
b. I would want a medium shutter speed
c. I would want a super fast shutter speed, but not too fast that it becomes extremely dark.
d. I would want a pretty fast shutter speed.
e. I would want a slow shutter speed to look like people are rushing in as fast as they can.
f. I would want a fast shutter speed to capture the ball frozen in the air.

a. I would want a slower shutter speed
b. I would want a slower shutter speed
c. I would want a medium-fast shutter speed, or I would change the aperture and make the shutter speed fast.
d. I would want a medium shutter speed.
e. I would want a slower shutter speed.
f. I would want a medium-fast shutter speed.

2.
  • Auto-Shutter Speed, ISO, and Aperture are chosen without any input
  • Shutter Priority-You only choose shutter speed
  • Manual-You choose all settings.

ISO 200:

ISO 3200:

ISO 6400:

1. The advantages to shoot at a dark area with a high ISO is the ISO makes the photo brighter and makes things easier to see.
2. The author suggested that you should only use a low ISO when the conditions (lighter) around you are good because it is not good to have a low ISO but have shutter speed or aperture to high/low.
3. The author suggested in you should only use a high ISO when the conditions around you (darker) give you no other choice.

The aperture settings on this link are Aperture with a slider and it shows you how the depth of field and exposure change when you change the aperture.
The shutter speed is also just a slider that shows you how you change the motion and exposure when you change the shutter speed.
The ISO is also just a slider that shows you how you changed the noise and exposure by changing the slider.
